or those of you who missed my lazy-ass update last Wednesday, it was nothing more than this graphic:

For the most part, friends were mildly disturbed by this picture. Most of them had Ralph's expression.

I'm a big fan of Ralph up there. Every time I look at him, I think, "Live-Action Disney Movie" from the '50s ... or '60s ... or whenever the hell those were popular.

Today's comic was inspired by the (rather dated) news I'd read on Yahoo! Movies regarding The Hobbit.

I'm definitely in the minority here when I say: I just couldn't get into the Lord Of The Rings stories. My friend Hayes was kind enough to buy me the softcover trilogy as a gift for the beginning of my final year at college. I've still got it in my book case, and it still has a trace smell of clove cigarettes (of which Hayes is very fond).

But, holy crap -- I just couldn't read it. I've been stuck on page 36 for the past six years.

Admittedly, the movies are quite epic in scale. They're just extremely well done. Aside from them conjuring up the old-school days of pencil-and-paper RPGs (and the bad-ass "They've got a cave troll" battle), they're just not for me.

I can't figure it out.

In other news, it's hard to go wrong when you set a Nine Inch Nails tune into the trailer for an upcoming Frank Miller story.

Holy shit -- the sun's coming up!
